Karettas was born in Denizli, Türkiye—a place where the art of weaving has been passed from generation to generation for centuries, and where the story of the authentic Turkish towel first began. In this historic textile region, skilled artisans continue to work with knowledge shaped by time, transforming the finest organic Turkish cotton into towels that are exceptionally soft, lightweight, absorbent, and designed to become even more beautiful with use.

Our story is equally inspired by the Mediterranean: its sun-warmed shores, clear blue waters, and the ancient Caretta caretta sea turtles that have returned to Türkiye’s beaches for thousands of years. Their quiet strength, resilience, and deep connection to the sea became the heart of our name and the symbol of everything Karettas represents.

We created Karettas to preserve more than a centuries-old craft. We wanted to capture the feeling of a slower and more meaningful way of life—one defined by natural beauty, thoughtful design, enduring quality, and respect for the world around us. Every Karettas towel carries a piece of this heritage, woven with purpose and made to accompany life’s most memorable moments, from sunlit days by the water to peaceful rituals at home.
